The Board of Adjustment conducts hearings and takes final action on Special Use Permits, Variances and Appeals.  The Board of Adjustment is quasi-judicial in nature and must adhere to North Carolina General Statues when making final decisions. The Board consists of five (5) regular members and two (2) alternates, all of whom must reside within the City's Jurisdiction.

The Board of Adjustment meets the 1^st Thursday after the 2^nd Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located in the Municipal Building located at 102 E. 2^nd Street.  ( See meeting date and submittal dates below.)
 
Deadline for submitting a completed application:  Fifteenth (15) of each month for the following months meeting.
