The Support Services Division provides communication and logistical services for the organization.  From the E-911 center to animal control, it's all handled by the Support Services Division.  The maintenance of our fleet of marked and unmarked vehicles is overseen by this division, striving to keep the officers in safe, well equipped vehicles.  This division is commanded by Captain Ronnie Watson.

Our E-911 center answers all 911 calls placed within our city.  It also answers non-emergency phone calls and provides radio dispatching of Police, Fire and EMS responders.  Our Telecommunicators utilize computer aided dispatching systems to track resources and calls for service. 

Support Services also ensures that our fleet is operating at maximum efficiency and is equipped with some of the best equipment available.  From radars to mobile data computers, our officers have at their disposal an arsenal of equipment designed to keep them in the field instead of in the office.  The use of technology to help the officer do their job better is important to the WPD.
