City of Washington Cemeteries

IMG951476Oakdale Cemetery and Cedar Hill Cemetery became official City of Washington Cemeteries in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Both cemeteries offer traditional burials and cremations.  Our cemetery staff are compassionate and knowledgeable, and they work hard to provide residents and their families with the utmost respect and a serene setting in which to remember a friend or loved one.

The City’s Cemetery Division operates and maintains, with the highest standards, the two burial facilities – they are responsible for all care taking, maintenance, and interments. Rules, regulations and fees are established by the City Council, the elected governing board of the City of Washington. Visitors to the city’s cemeteries must obey regulations, which are enforced by the Cemetery Superintendent and the Washington Police Department.
