City of Washington Cemeteries

Oakdale Cemetery and Cedar Hill Cemetery both became an official City of Washington Cemetery in the late 1800’s – early 1900’s. Both cemeteries offer full burials and cremations. The city employees are caring and experienced and strive to provide residents and families with the upmost respectful and peaceful place of environment to honor a friend or loved one.
The City’s Cemetery Division operates and maintains, with the highest standards, the two burial facilities – they are responsible for all care taking, maintenance, and interments. Rules, regulations and fees are established by the City Council, the elected governing board of the City of Washington. Visitors to the city’s cemeteries must obey regulations, which are enforced by the Cemetery Superintendent and the Washington Police Department.
